How do you see yourself? Do you see yourself as just a follower because you are unsure if you’ll be able to achieve what is expected from you? Are you doubting yourself?  Are you having difficulty changing your self-image?

Self-image is how we picture ourselves of what we want to become. So how can we change that? Try visualization. Hold the image of the person of what you want to be. Look at yourself in the mirror.

Whenever I am asked to do something new which I am uncomfortable and feel that I am being challenged, I usually go to the mirror to see who that Cynthia is. When fear and self-doubt come into the picture, I see myself like a cat. A cat who would just hide and stay in one spot and be comfortable. But when I tried visualizing myself like a lion which shows courage, confidence and with a stronger personality, I begin to change how I see myself. Accompany that vision by talking to yourself aloud that “I am going to be the best person I am today because I know there is one person who needs my help.”

Your self-image is not permanent. It will vary as you grow, evolve, and as the way you view yourself, it changes. So don't allow yourself to get stuck living with a negative self-image.
