1 John 2:12 teaches us that believers have their sins forgiven for a particular reason; so that the name of God would be glorified. This purpose strengthens our assurance and guides our personal pursuit of holiness as we seek to conform every part of our life to Christ's image so that we may accurately and effectively glorify the Lord.
