Description

originally recorded June 23, 2023 🌋 an admittedly salty take on ... well, how do we describe a person unwilling to consider your life, your work as valid-- how do we respond when we're faced with disrespect, exploitation, and an audacious level of entitlement?

For me: the episode circulates around a point made around :35 (35-38th minute), but I hope this open discussion of how this all makes me feel: encourages YOU to trust YOUR gut, to interpret your "feelings" as sacred messengers--

to HONOR what comes up from within you, instead of run from it, or assume somebody else can, or will do the same thing.

Because let's face it: we are all uniquely made,

nobody can do: what you do (whatever that is)

and you might not ever become, who you might be: If you don't press pause, and give YOURSELF that honor, that opportunity

(time, patience, ...

and if my life can serve as an example: people will come along, they might even tryyyyy to TAKE YOUR NAME-- people will start 7 (or 31?) years after you, claiming to be worthy

And you can wait, you can hope the Ashley Baxters of this world will realize what they are doing, and stop themselves: before committing fraud, (against the oldest house on record in the US)

before: making it clear they don't really care about you, or your rights, your family, the legacy they want to exploit for profit--

fun fact: after my dad died, I learned SO MUCH about the family, when I unexpectedly met the famous historian William Federer (episode 5, check out the full interview on You Tube!) so forgive me, as I'm genuinely stunned to know just how significant this legacy truly is.

As difficult and frustrating as it is, I genuinely am so thankful: for the distance between who I am, how I think, what motivates me:

and people who don't care,

who WILL embody disrespect: to make $

If EVERYBODY had integrity: would it be an asset?
