This week on the Non-linear Healing Pod, Courtney interview Brandon Thomas, MSW. Brandon shares his story of resiliency and recovery while reassuring the audience that "You are not a bad person."
Brandon is a social worker who has been serving as an educator across the state of Pennsylvania for over four years. Brandon developed the workshop Quick To Judge: Removing the Stigma in 2018 that has since shared this presentation on platforms across PA including at the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) PA Conference. Brandon's training is changing the way that EMS, ER staff, Behavioral Health Workers, and Healthcare Workers understand bias and stigma to help improve patient experience. Brandon is currently employed at a local hospital and working towards clinical licensure.
