Steve Fambro is the founder of Aptera…who has devoted himself to bringing a solar powered electric vehicle to market. And he says if all continues to go well on the financing front….the first deliveries should begin in 2023. The three wheeled vehicles ..two seaters..have a range….depending upon the battery configuration…of up to a thousand miles….but most orders are for the 400 mile range model. While they start at about 26 thousand dollars, Fambro says..
“In the short term, most of the orders are for forty thousand dollars and up. So people overwhelmingly are choosing the bigger batteries and the all wheel drive.”
