At Barstow’s Longview Farm in Hadley, Massachusetts, part of the Cabot Creamery Cooperative, Denise Barstow Manz is a 7th generation farmer. She says using technology, the cows can be milked or fed when they choose….strolling into a robotic milker. They produce more milk and higher quality. And the farm also uses anaerobic digesters that turn food waste and manure into energy that powers not only the farm but the surrounding area as well. The system also generates the heat used on the farm..
