This woman knows her stuff! And I'm honored to call her an old friend. I'm so proud of her for what she's overcome and what she's doing to help others who battle mental illness. Melissa Hagan (FNTP) is a Functional Nutritionist, Integrative Mental Health Practitioner and a goofy chic on TikTok and Instagram with a focus on what the hell is wrong with our system. You can follow her by searching "The Wellness Witch". She has a holistic approach to mental health that is backed by research and data. We've only skimmed the surface with what she knows and can offer others. In this show, she focuses on the importance of "Gut Health" with an emphasis on Brain Health and bullet points some simple key components that we all should consider to provide better Gut Health:

- Find time for being outside in the sun to receive Vitamin D

- The importance of eating red meat.

- Fruits & Vegetables play a small role to our diet but easy and important.

- Eggs are also a value food to our diet.

- If possible, purchase foods direct from farmer. i.e. Farmers Market

- Connection: Don't internalize your inner demons.

- Get out of the screen. Don't spend a signifiant amount of time on social media. 

- Use of Probiotics.

- Eliminate processed foods
