It was announced today that Premier League clubs can return to phase 1 of training, which involves small groups of up to 5 players working on drills while following social distancing guidelines. The league’s CEO, Richard Masters, has called the June 12 return date as a “staging post,” with June 26 looking like a more realistic return date, going off the same path the Germans used. While some leagues have curtailed their season, with Scotland becoming the latest this afternoon, the Premier League is committed to returning. Do we think the teams can come together to get the season finished, or are there simply too many barriers in the way?
