With Juventus eliminated from the Champions League, we wonder what the future might look like under new manager Andrea Pirlo. It's good to have you back, Champions League!

Part 1

We’ve had the Premier League, we’ve had La Liga, Serie A and the Bundesliga, we’ve had the FA Cup, and now we’ve got the Champions and Europa League comeback! Oh, it’s been a long wait, but finally, the sport’s top club competition is here.

Hello and welcome to the Total Football podcast. I am your host Declan Harte, and joining me is Andrew Conway.

Andrew, has it been worth the wait, so far?

Part 2

Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, and, to everyone’s shock, Lyon have joined the already qualified four in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Man City are the first team to knock out Zinedine Zidane from the Champions League as manager. Can they go all the way now?

Lyon emerged as surprise victors over Juventus. How did this happen?

Bayern comfortable against Chelsea, really no surprises it was so one-sided.

Part 3

With their elimination from the Last 16 of the Champions League this week, Juventus has sacked Maurizio Sarri after only 12 months in charge. Immediately the club was linked with names such as Simone Inzaghi, Mauricio Pochettino and even Zidane! But within 24 hours the Juve board surprised us all by appointing former player, and World Cup winner, Andrea Pirlo. Yes, that Pirlo. How do we make sense of such a left-field appointment?

Part 4

Another week, another slew of European competition. We’re at the quarter-final stages. Is now the time to check in on the Europa League? How do we see those games turning out?

And which Champions League ¼ final tie are we most looking forward to?
