We’ll start with the last game we’ve watched. Tottenham’s first game of the season was a 1-0 defeat at home to Everton. Everton’s first win away to top 6 opposition since 2013/14, and Ancelotti’s first win against Mourinho after 4 failed attempts in a row.
Champions Liverpool got through a tough 4-3 win at home to Championship winners Leeds in their first game back in the top flight for 16 years. We were expecting Bielsa’s Leeds to be fun, but were we expecting this?
The other two promoted clubs both lost 3-0 at home to Arsenal and Leicester, not a great start for them, is it?
Part 3
There are three weeks left in the transfer window. That is three weeks for clubs to assess their position in the league, what’s working, what's not working and get in some last minute deals to save their skin. Which clubs do we think will be most active and which ones will be sitting with their feet up on deadline day revelling in their rivals’ misfortune?
Part 4
Coming up in the next edition of the Premier League, four more clubs make their return and we get our first top 6 clash of the campaign.
Chelsea v Liverpool, can Lampard pull a rabbit out of the hat with a statement win?
The Manchester clubs also return against Palace and Wolves. How will they fare?
