After weeks of mostly dour, turgid, covid football slowing everything down, it was good to see the Premier League return from the international break with 31 goals from 8 games, shock results and big moments for the top 4 race and the relegation battle.

Part 2
West Brom inflicted Thomas Tuchel’s first Chelsea defeat. They lost 5-2 at home to the side in 19th, fair to say no one saw that coming?
Tottenham threw away their chance at 4th spot by drawing 2-2 with Newcastle with yet another late goal concession giving away a result for them.
It was a big big weekend on the continent. La Liga’s title race has opened up after Atletico Madrid lost to Sevilla.
Dortmund’s top 4 hopes went up in smoke as they lost 2-1 to Eintracht Frankfurt.
PSG’s title retention chances took a blow as they lost to league leaders Lille, they also might not even qualify for the Champions League next season and neither might Juventus, who are fourth in Serie A, but level on points with fifth place Napoli.
Part 3
Over the international break, Mino Raiola and Alfe Inge Haaland were prancing around Europe’s top clubs as they looked to drum up interest in Erling Haaland’s availability for the Summer. Meanwhile, in Germany, Borussia Dortmund were adamant the striker is not for sale. They have reportedly set a £150 million price tag on the Norwegian which they believe no one can afford. So, is it that simple, Haaland to stay at Europa League playing Dortmund?
Part 4
The Champions League quarter finals get under way this midweek. What tie are we most looking forward to and what will be the big battlelines in each of the matchups?
