Part 1

Between political turmoil, former players, transfer rumours, training ground bust-ups and an empty stadium, the build-up of this Europa League final was steeped in a unique drama. But Chelsea rose to the occasion while Arsenal froze, coming out 4-1 victors and winning their first Europa League title since the last time the fans hated the manager. What will the fallout from this match be?

Part 2

Congrats to Aston Villa on a 2-1 win over “Frank Lampard’s Derby County,” as they’re now known, in the play-off final. Back where they belong?

The Serie A top 4 race came to a head last Sunday and it was amazing. Atalanta and Inter Milan have qualified, AC Milan just missing out over their rivals. Since then, Rino Gattuso has stepped down after 18 months in charge and Inter have officially sacked Spalletti.

And I’d just like to take a moment to say Jaap Stam: the man is still not to be messed with

Part 3

So this is what it’s all come down to. The defining moment of the season: The Champions League Final.

On our path to this destination, the likes of Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Porto, Ajax and Barcelona have been conquered, thus only leaving 2 standing.

Liverpool, 5 times winners and last season’s runners-up go toe-to-toe against Tottenham Hotspur, playing in their first ever European Cup final.

Neither manager has won the Champions League, Jurgen Klopp has come close having lost the final on 2 occasions. Is it third time lucky or can Mauricio Pochettino win it on his first attempt?
