Remember just how bad Man United were at times this season? Well why not refresh your memory with this THROWBACK episode!
Part 1
Three grumpy old men took to the Sky Sports studio Sunday afternoon to take turns laying into Manchester United’s poor performance as they lost 2-0 away at West Ham. Chief among them, of course, was former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese himself was in charge for United’s 3-1 defeat last season at West Ham. In a brief and fleeting moment of self-awareness, Mourinho called his United side ‘bad’ when describing that 3-1 defeat.
Hello and welcome to the Total Football podcast, I am your host Declan Harte and joining me is Andrew Conway and Matthijs O’Flaherty
Andrew, will we be seeing more of this self-aware Jose Mourinho?
Part 2
So, Man United lost 2-0. Was anyone actually surprised?
Meanwhile, Man City won 8-0. Too soon to sack Sanchez Flores?
Liverpool kept their lead at the top to 5 points, with a tough 2-1 win over Frank Lampard’s Chelsea
Arsenal are a chaotic mess, but an enjoyable one to watch
Barcelona, on the other hand, are just a mess
Part 3
Defeats for Tottenham, Man United and Chelsea this weekend gave opportunities to ‘the other 14’ to leapfrog them into the European places. West Ham, Leicester City and Bournemouth all took that opportunity with impressive wins. But, we’re still only 6 games into the season and it’s just September. The natural order will eventually correct itself, right?
Part 4
Premier League action continues apace. Liverpool versus Sheffield United should be interesting. The big game of the weekend is Everton vs. Manchester City. Can Marco Silva’s men pull off a big win over the champions, or will City crush their Merseyside opponents?
