Between an existential crisis, a top of the table clash preview and one of the worst matches in living memory, who doesn't want to re-live this glorious week in the 2019/20 football season?
Part 1
On Sunday evening Everton and Tottenham played out what should now be considered one of the worst games the Premier League has ever seen. Both teams were awful, both managers are enduring awful spells, the football was awful, the refereeing was awful, the VAR interruption was awful, and most crucially, the injury to Andre Gomes was just awful. We would like to wish him all the best on what will no doubt be a long road to recovery.
Hello and welcome to the Total Football podcast. I am your host Declan Harte and joining me is Andrew Conway.

Leicester’s good run of form continues, they’re now 6 points clear of 5th place and comfortable in 3rd
Barcelona and Real Madrid both dropped points, leaving Real Sociedad top of the table. Do we have an unexpected title challenger in Spain this year?
Part 3
Not too long ago on this show we discussed the future employability prospects of various struggling managers across Europe’s top leagues. On Sunday evening, Bayern Munich announced Niko Kovac had left the club by mutual consent after they had been hammered 5-1 by Frankfurt the previous afternoon. Was this the right decision? Why now? And what next for Bayern Munich?
Part 4
This weekend brings the big one! England’s top two sides go face-to-face at Anfield, as Liverpool welcome the champions Manchester City. Over the years, City have faced some of their worst days on the green grass of Anfield, but if their title defence is to keep any merit then three points are a must this Sunday.
