Not a lot of goals, but still plenty to talk about on Day 7 of this the 2018 World Cup. The day started and ended quite well, but there was quite the lul in action in the middle. Portugal 1 - 0 Morocco: An entertaining match that was just missing some goals. Ronaldo did find some time to get on the score sheet though and knockout Morocco who become the fist team officially eliminated from this year’s edition. Uruguay 1 - 0 Saudi Arabia: Who’d have guessed that Uruguay would play out a 1-0 win? It was only the most obvious thing that could’ve happened! Saudi Arabia and Egypt now also officially eliminated from the tournament. Saudi Arabia definitely the worst team to qualify. Iran 0 - 1 Spain: An entertaining defensive display from Iran saw Spain struggle to break them down, but Diego Costa was the difference in the end. But can Spain score goals when Costa isn’t firing them in off his knee? Spain surely now through to the knockout round which will put behind them the embarassment of 2014.
