And is this a lesson learned or a sign of things to come? England will likely make it out of the group, but this performance raises a lot of questions, will they be able to answer them? Beglium were also in action today and we can’t agree on their performance. Were Belgium poor or did they set a good marker for the tournament? Sweden were assisted by VAR in the beginning of their pursuit for World Cup glory. But how will that group shake up? Are Germany in danger of elimination? We also look back on how the big teams have performed, hint: not particularly well. How will round 2 shake up? And will Group H live up to the expectation of open and exciting football?
