Alter Egos
•• Alter Ego: a second self; or different version of oneself. A sense of being detached from yourself &
your emotions. Looking from a distorted and unreal perception; Blurred sense of identity
• Have you ever wanted to be someone else? You may have not wanted to physically be someone, but
maybe you’ve wanted to embody who they were? What they have?
I did .. I’ve used different name to identify parts of me but why not just by my God given name? I went
by Octavia, Queen Gem, Ladiiluck, etc but shying away from Denise. Denise means “dedicated to God”. I
remember when I took on my middle name Octavia. I morphed into this sexual, bullish feminine wanted
person that really wasn’t me.
•• The first creation to take on an alter ego was Lucifer. Lucifer> Satan/Devil
(Isaiah 14:12-17) 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou
cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of
God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
