Sylvia Likens was a sweet, kind, and beautiful 16 year girl when she and her sister Jenny went to live with Gertrude Baniszewski on East New York St in a town in Indiana. Things started out normal enough, but the two Likens girls soon found themselves living in a literal hell hole being tortured by the woman who was supposed to be caring for them and her literal hoard of devil children. Join us as we tell Sylvia's sad story and the story of the absolute monster who facilitated the means to end this sweet child's life, the children who obeyed her every command, and the community that failed Sylvia on every possible level.
**I want to apologize for my creaky chair! I promptly WD-40'd it immediately after discovering just how creaky it truly was.**
