In the U.K. in the 1970's the punk music movement was in full swing, and a little band called the Sex Pistols were turning heads. They introduced a whole new sound to England's youth and would effectively turn the music industry upside down. But their success would come with a serious price, culminating in the murder of a young groupie named Nancy Spungen, followed by the death of her boyfriend and bassist for the band, Sid Vicious. Sid and Nancy's romance has been compared to the likes of Romeo and Juliet and has been glamourized and romanticized since they met their tragic ends over 40 years ago. Join us for part one of this sad tale, as we dive into not only the history of the Sex Pistols, but of the two lost souls whose lives ended far too soon.
