In 2004, Andre Lee Thomas killed his estranged wife Laura Boren, his four-year-old son, Andre Jr. and Laura’s, one-year-old daughter, Leyah, in Sherman, Texas. Andre would confess to the crime and be later sentenced to death. However, it would become evident that Andre may not have known what he was doing due to severe, ongoing, and untreated mental illness.
