Mark and Jennair Gerardot were just teenagers when they met and fell in love. The couple would marry and enjoy 24 years of a happy, but imperfect at times, marriage. In 2017, Mark would start a new job at the University of Delaware, where he would meet a successful, accomplished, and all around fantastic woman named Meredith Chapman. Meredith was Mark's boss and 15 years his junior, but nevertheless, Mark would end up falling madly in love with Meredith, sparking a whirlwind affair, hidden from his wife Jennair. When Jennair suspected that her husband may be involved with another woman, she embarked on a surveillance mission, intent on uncovering Mark's affair with his boss and sabotaging any relationship he and Meredith had. Mark and Jennair would eventually agree on a divorce, but Jennair wasn't going to take this lying down. SHe intended on taking Matters into her own hands, and on April 23, 2018, Jennair would end Mark's affair with Meredith once and for all, with devastating consequences for everyone involved.
