Today's case is an extremely hard one and one that I've been wanting to cover for a while. This is the tragic and horrifying case of the murder of 12 year old Shanda Sharer. In January of 1992, Shanda was lured from her father's home by four teenage girl's, three of whom she had never met before that night. She as brutally assaulted, tortured, and set on fire before succumbing to her various injuries. In part one of this series of episodes, we will be talking about Shanda and the events leading up to the night of her murder, as well as two of the key players involved in this case, Melinda Loveless and Amanda Heavrin. Every part of this case is absolutely horrific and we advise extreme caution before listening. We will be talking about topics such as child abuse, suicide, rape, and other forms of sexual assault so this is just a trigger warning for those who need it. Thank you all for listening.
