In the week that George Floyd was laid to rest, protests persisted, though seemingly more peaceful than the week prior. While there was the appearance of more "civility" in the streets, there was plenty of "uncivil" discourse happening in the conversations surrounding police brutality, & protesting In the aftermath of the murders of Mr. Floyd, Breonna Taylor, & Ahmaud Arbery.

NFL quarterback Drew Brees received the ire of his teammates, peers, & the populace after stating that he didn't respect people that "disrespected" the flag by kneeling during the National Anthem. He quickly recanted with several apologies, & publicly denounced Donald Trump, who voiced displeasure with Brees' original apology. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell did a complete 360 from his previous stance on kneeling, when he came out, & made a video in support of peaceful protest by players. Also...
