Description

This week the Intellects discuss body positivity and fat shaming. Atlantic Records recording artist Lizzo caused quite the stir recently when she went to a Los Angeles Lakers game wearing a shirt with her butt cheeks exposed. The guys discuss the larger conversation surrounding Lizzo, and if being critical of the outfits or antics of a new body positivity and self-love icon should be considered "fat phobic", or just holding one individual accountable.

The gentleman also discuss the NFL's decision to honor Michael Vick at the Pro Bowl by making him an honorary captain. People are NOT happy about this. At the time of this recording, a change.org petition had garnered over 500,000 signatures in protest of this choice by the NFL. Is true redemption only reserved for a certain few? Is it because he's black? Is it fair to continue to strip opportunities away from someone that has not only paid their debt to society, but used their platform to advocate for the rights of animals?

Plus, Democrats formally unveil two articles of impeachment, Uber reveals 3000 incidents of sexual assault, 'When They See Us' gets snubbed at the Golden Globes, and a UPS driver and a civilian are killed in Miami when at least 18 police officers fired their guns in a movie-style shootout with hijackers.
