His name was Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin... what a name! Known simply as "Rasputin", he was born on January 21st, 1869 in the small village of Pokrovkoye, Russia. Starting from the bottom, Rasputin climbed the social, political, and theological Russian "ladder", going from an unknown, illiterate, peasant boy, to a pseudo-holy-man-political-powerhouse. He was loved, hated, feared, and most of all, likely misunderstood. This may be primarily because he was shrouded in mystery in life, just as much as he has been in death. Join Jen and Cam in episode 5, as they explore the life of the man, the myth, the 6'3 legend, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin.
