Jane Toppan (1857–1938), born Honora Kelley in Boston, MA, was an American serial killer. She confessed to over 30 murders in 1901. She is quoted as saying she wanted, "to have killed more people — helpless people — than any other man or woman who ever lived…” Toppan would spend the remainder of her days at the Taunton Insane Hospital where she would die of natural causes.
