Description

The “Hartford Circus Fire,” also known as ″The Day the Clowns Cried,″ occurred on July 6, 1944, in Hartford, Connecticut. It was one of the worst fire disasters in United States history and took place during a performance of the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus with over 6,000+ guests present. 700+ were injured and 167 people died.
