In 1996, 19 year old Kristin Smart was at a college house party when she stumbled outside and passed out on the lawn. Kristin was unable to stand on her own and was helped up by two classmates who began to walk her home. At the same time, another classmate, Paul Flores, emerged from the shadows and offered to help, taking over and putting an arm around Kristin’s waist. After a short walk and a brief exchange, Kristin was left alone with Paul, about 40 yards from her dorm. Kristin was never seen again.
