GOAL SETTING FOR 2023

  1. What do you want? Get serious with yourself set aside the ideas of what others think you should want. Sit down with your significant other and talk it out. Do a brain dump and everything that's on your list and then go back and prioritize it. But be open about it and get serious about it.
  2. I say this all the time, a goal without a written plan or action is just a dream. Are you ok with it staying a dream or are you ready to make it real? Write it down, put it somewhere you will see it.

Ask yourself, is what I'm doing putting me closer to my goal?
  3. I ALWAYS struggled with writing SMART goals LOL it was an Achilles' heel for me in school and I'm pretty good writer. But I think the biggest take-away for me, when it comes to SMART goals is the T. You guys know I have ADHD and I am a huge procrastinator, so when I don't have a deadline, you might as well forget it. And starting something in January that I want to have accomplished by December....never going to stay consistent with a timeline that looks like that.
  4. Keep these steps to 3-5 for each goal. Remember when we're trying to create healthy habits, we need to reduce the friction. So don't over complicate things on this step.
  5. We say this again and again small steps forward lead to big, sustainable changes. This is how you will find success for 2023. You have to keep it simple, realistic, and manageable.
