How. to Take Time for Yourself During the Holidays

Top 3 things to help us with our selfcare through the holidays. 

1. Saying No. We often feel the pressure to say yes and to be at all the things and we end up run down and exhausted and stressed from trying to cram it all in over the holidays. Learning to say No to protect your time and mental space is a great way to help you through the holidays with your sanity in tact and keeping the holidays light and stress-free. 

2. Be Mindful and Present and practicing Gratitude. Finding the joy in the chaos and remembering why we are there and the blessings that we truly. Keeping in mind our mental health and managing our expectations and schedules to help keep us in the moments and making memories.

3. Don't neglect your exercise and nutrition. Yes, we want to enjoy ourselves and not feel like we're restricting ourselves of all the yummy extras, but being mindful and making intentional choices can help keep you on track with your goals through the holidays. Get out and keep moving, make it a family experience, enjoy the treats but don't blow your progress.  80/20 rule. 80% of the time you're on track and goal oriented, 20% being the extra treats so you aren't feeling deprived and left out. Be mindful and aware and practice intention with your choices.
