The Bible is a book written by God to set forth His purpose to reconcile a world fallen into sin to Himself. In Paul's second letter to the Corinthians and the fifth chapter, Paul declared God's work to reconcile sinners. It then becomes the job of a reconciled sinner to be an ambassador for Jesus Christ. In John's Gospel and the ninth chapter, we see Jesus reconciling a blind sinner, who then immediately became an ambassador.
In this episode, Joe Durso examines the text of John 9 and uncovers some instructive elements of what it costs to take the message of the Gospel to a world bent on rejecting it. The message of Christ results in life from the dead for those who receive it. Those who reject His message fall under a more significant penalty of judgment. God restores the former hearers. The latter sink into a deeper depth of sin's deceit.
God bless you as you consider the elements of this Gospel story.
