In today’s episode, 3DMJ coach and athlete Brian Minor and I aim to demystify the concept of progressive overload.

Brian is a coach, educator, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), and athlete, with a Master’s Degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University. He’s been coaching athletes for over a decade, with a primary focus on those interested in improving body composition, physique contest prep, and within the sport of powerlifting.

Tune in to hear Brian’s thoughts on what progressive overload is, what tools to use to track whether it’s happening or not, how to choose a training program when you’re starting out, how to change it as you become more advanced, how to tell when you’re no longer a beginner, but rather an intermediate or advanced lifter… and much more than I could fit into this description!
