#ILoveGay Today connects with Pavel Subrt from Vienna, Austria & Ludo Swinnen from Antwerp, Belgium, co-founders of East Meets West, a network of LGBTI professionals from Western & mainly Eastern Europe. Join us as we learn more about their organization focused on driving the exchange of ideas and sharing best practices, in order to increase the levels of social acceptance for LGBTI people in Eastern Europe. We chat about how they got started, working together in Vienna and sharing a customer road trip, where the idea for East Meets West began. They have since become a cornerstone in the world of LGBTI business in Europe, working in partnership with the European LGBTI Chamber of Commerce and other partners throughout Europe. They also partner with the CGLCC in Canada and the NGLCC in the US. We learn about some of their programs, including their annual conference, the East Meets West Connect program, and their most recent release, East Meets West Pages. Lastly, we talk about how they focus on two key pillars... EmW Social and EmW Business, where both the advancement of LGBTI human rights, alongside the advancement of LGBTI rights, education and understanding within the corporate environment go hand in hand.
