Mckinney, Texas. Unless you live in the state of Texas, this city won't seem to cross your mind. That is until November 6th of 2023. When it was reported that Chad Stephens, homeowner and boyfriend of Heather Schwab (who had been reported missing since June of 2023) had been found and Chad arrested. Heather's remains were found, in the refrigerator of her boyfriend in their home. Media took to the story, and reported that Heather had been in a domestic violence environment, and "didn't leave". Something that so many in the media tend to state when it comes to domestic violence. Victims often times CAN'T leave, for many reasons. What was done in the numerous stories over a long period of time that "didn't seem to add up"? Did authorities take notice fast enough? What does the future hold for Chad Stephens and the death of his girlfriend Heather Scwab.
