In this episode, I talk about networking—what it actually is, why it matters, and how to make it work for you and your business. If the word “networking” makes you think of awkward events, elevator pitches, and being sold to by strangers, I hear you. But I’m sharing a more practical, human version of networking that has genuinely helped me grow my business, build relationships, and create unexpected opportunities.

I also share my own 3-step networking plan—something I’ve used many times over—to make sure you get the most from every event you attend, whether in person or online.

My 3-step Networking Plan that works

  1. Decide what event you’re going to
  2. Set 1–3 clear networking goals for that event (Who do you want to meet? What conversations would you like to have?)
  3. Prepare yourself mentally—decide how you want to show up, and practice how you’ll talk about yourself and your business confidently. I also talk about anchoring and mindset work that helps me feel prepared and grounded, especially when networking feels intimidating.
