Jack tries to shout a warning at Sam, but it's too loud for him to hear it. He then moves to a backup plan as Ray looks on with increasing anxiety about the intentions of this LAPD officer. Tune Man writes a note for Sam, which is delivered in maybe the worst possible way. Sam understandably takes his foot off the gas, creating the first crisis for Jack.
