Jack explains to Annie that Payne will continue setting bombs until he either gets his money or causes carnage, leading to maybe the cutest exchange in the movie. Back at the precinct, Robin is having no luck finding a match for Harry's hunch. He comes in and changes the plan -- looking for former cops on disability instead of former LAPD officers. The police truck comes up alongside the bus so Mac can talk to Jack. Mac wants to unload the passengers, but Jack refuses.
