Mac and Jack discuss strategies, but are interrupted by a phone call from Payne. Stephens has maybe the dumbest, most ill-timed joke in the movie. Seriously dude, read the room. Payne calls Jack, concerned that he is breaking their trust by unloading the passengers. Jack uses the opportunity to beg Payne to let Sam get off the bus, and Payne replies with sardonic wit.
