The movie seems to be entering the coda, but Norwood arrives unexpectedly with a call from Payne about the money. Mac is about to tell him where he can stick his money, but Jack realizes that they have the element of surprise on Payne, who does not know of the rescue. The police immediately put together a plan to catch Payne at the scene, and we switch to Pershing Square. Police arrive in droves on the scene. So do Jack and Annie for some reason, and Jack decides not to take the day off and instead exit the ambulance to join the response team. Let this be a lesson to us all -- if you have a chance for romance, take it!
