Brian is from Fort McMurray AB. Before politics he spent over a decade as an active lawyer, he served as an federal MP from 2004-2014, was the leader of the Wildrose (official opposition) from 2015-17, the current MLA for Fort McMurray - Athabasca and has put his name in for the UCP leadership race to become the next premiere of Alberta.
