Be it his family, his community, or his country... Derek Cromwell embodies what it means to serve. Amongst so many other dimensions of servitude, Derek is a 10-year USAF veteran....and a Black American…a phenomena that often times poses a dichotomous experience that requires constant synthesis and self-evaluation.
Serving while Black is a conversation that will outlive all of us, but it is men like Derek Cromwell that help put the conversation into a much more useful an inspiring context.
