On a dog walk a couple of weeks ago (which is where I get some of my best ideas, other than the shower. You, too?), an idea came to me that is a culmination of several sources of inspiration:
•Rachael Kay Albers' breakdown of the history of marketing on her podcast, "Marketing Muckraking"
•Watching the documentary, "The Century of the Self" (2002 British television documentary series about the scary and fascinating birth and evolution of PR)
•my insatiable and sometimes annoying curiosity
•the need to incorporate creative expression in my business
It started as an idea to do a distilled history that explains how we got to the work cultures of today in video form that is both informative and entertaining.
The more I research, the bigger I realize this project will be. If I follow through with this (because I have a thousand ideas that I've never executed) I think it will be amazing.
Which is part of why I am announcing this idea in its infancy. Accountability BB's!
