In December 1872, the Mary Celeste ship was found drifting in the Atlantic Ocean. Its crew has never been found. All of its cargo and six months worth of food and supplies were found on board. The newly renovated ship was in good, operable condition with little to no damage. What would make a respected experienced captain, his family and crew of men abandon the safety of the ship for the icy cold waters of the Atlantic Ocean?
