Today we continue our series, 1 Timothy – Church Matters. We will look at 1 Timothy 5:3-16. These passages provide instruction regarding the care of widows within the church community and differentiate between those who require immediate assistance and those who have other means of support. Verses 3-4 say, “Honor widows who are widows indeed; but if any widow has children or grandchildren, they must first learn to practice piety in regard to their own family and to make some return to their parents; for this is acceptable in the sight of God.” Join Us!
