Today we continue the series, 1 Timothy – Church Matters. The title for this week’s message is Stay On Task. We will look at 1 Timothy 1:3-7. It is a letter written from Paul to Timothy urging him to stay true to the Gospel and teach only what is in accordance with sound doctrine. He emphasizes the importance of love, which should be the goal of all teaching, and warns against those who teach for the sake of making a profit or gaining personal fame, rather than serving from a genuine heart. Verses 5-7 say, “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. For some men, straying from the Law, even though they do not understand either what they are saying or the matters about which they make confident assertions.” Join us!
