The brain is super strong. You can choose how you see your treatment. Your attitude matters a lot.
The time in this phase is different for everyone. It's a big change that can have scary moments. But your thoughts can really change how you feel.
Heather used visualization a lot during her treatment.
When you start treatment, you might feel a bit better mentally. You make a plan and act on it. Believing in the plan and changing how you think about treatment is key.
Instead of worrying about side effects, think that they're helping fight the cancer. These effects help you stay alive.
Make a plan for tough times. When you're scared, what will you do? How can you feel better? Think ahead.
Find things to celebrate.
