The BIPOC Arts Network and Fund, or BANF, invites the BIPOC art community to register and join us for a virtual session on January 10 starting at 7:00 p.m. Learn vital information about the 2023 BANF Artist Awards application process and eligibility guidelines.

Sixto Wagan is the Project Director for the BIPOC Arts Network and Fund. He leads BANF along with a seven-member Steering Committee and a nine-member Accountability and Advisory Council made up of a diverse group of artists, curators, scholars, organizational leaders and foundation partners, who guide goals and priorities.

​Lanecia Rouse Tinsley is a multidisciplinary artist who splits time between Houston, TX, and Richmond, VA. Her portfolio includes a range of abstract painting, photography, teaching, writing, speaking, and curatorial projects for various non-profit organizations.



Lanecia was recently a Artists on Site: Series 3 Artist-in-Residence at the Asia Society HTX and the 2020-2021 Artist-in-Residence for the Center for Engaged Research and Collaborative Learning (CERCL) at Rice UniversityShe is the Artist-in-Residence at Holy Family HTX (2017-Present). She is a Co-founding Creative Director for the ImagiNoir Equity Group, an international alliance and community development and equity group of black activists, artists, writers, scholars, philanthropists, and educators. In addition, she is the Director of Justice and the Arts with projectCURATE. She is also a member of the Curation Team of the Lanecia Rouse Tinsley Gallery of Holy Family HTX.
