Description

We've had two shows discussing Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick's comments on CRT, University Tenure, and Mexican American Studies but folks asked "What did he REALLY say?" Well, we broke down his press conference and Tony dissects what his words mean and how they can adversely affect the progress of Ethnic Studies in Texas.

We are still asking: Is Republican Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick Against Mexican American History?

Dan Patrick recently held a press conference attacking job security for professors at Texas public universities. He also proposed going after professors who teach Critical Race Theory.

This mumbo jumbo is vague for Kindergarten through 12th grade, where CRT is not taught. However, Patrick has crossed the border of higher education where the book "Critical Race Theory" can be part of a course, especially at higher levels. Worse, Patrick needs to clarify if he believes Mexican American History and African American History count as CRT in his opinion.

Is he attacking Mexican American History and African American History?

These are the topics that get swept up in rambling definitions of CRT. So Dan Patrick needs to reveal if he thinks Mexican American and African American History fall into his definition of CRT.

This takes place as the Librotraficantes prepare to mark the tenth year anniversary of the Librotraficantes Caravan which defied the banning of Mexican American Studies by officials in Arizona.
