As I like to do at times, I'm going completely outside of the fitness space in today's Minisode. I called it The More Than Fitness Podcast for a reason, and today's topic is an example why.
Unless you are/were a business or finance major in college, you likely didn't learn much about money growing up. Credit cards, Roth or traditional IRA's, conscious spending habits, budgets, and all of that fun stuff weren't ever discussed with me until I started to search for it myself. One of the best books I've found so far is by Ramit Sethi: I Will Teach You To Be Rich. Don't worry, even he makes fun of the title, but the book is packed with value nonetheless.
In this Minisode, I wanted to touch on one of his concepts in that book, which he calls "money dials." This concept changed my outlook on what I should or shouldn't feel guilty spending money on, along with the best way to go about it. Again, I'm no expert, but this book has absolutely helped me with handling my money without limiting my life. This Minisode dives a little deeper into how. Hope you enjoy!
