Kurczy spent considerable time in Green Bank, West Virginia - a community where it is against the law to have WiFi or smart phones (because of a nearby radio observatory.) Kurczy wanted to investigate what it was like to live there- and whether or not the community was in fact the radio silence zone it was purported to be.
